QuaST – quantum-enabling services and tools for industrial applications

In the joint research project QuaST, led by Fraunhofer IKS, ten partners worked from 2022 to 2024 to provide small and large companies with low-threshold access to quantum computers. The tools developed and the results compiled in the Best Practice Guide allow end users to take advantage of this forward-looking technology more quickly and easily.

Quantum Computing

Solving difficult problems easily – but reliably!

Quantum computing still has a reputation as a very experimental cutting-edge technology. And yet, the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems (IKS) is working on harnessing its huge potential for industry. One example of this is the QuaST project.

Interview

"Companies should benefit from quantum computing"

The “QuaST” (quantum-enabling services and tools for industrial applications) project, led by Fraunhofer IKS, is now underway. Jeanette Lorenz, Senior Scientist at the Quantum Computing Department of Fraunhofer IKS, heads the project. In this interview, she explains what QuaST is all about.
