Digitalbonus Plus

You can receive funding for your company's digitalization measures via the Digitalbonus.Bayern. Fraunhofer IKS is your partner within the Digitalbonus Plus funding program and supports you in the implementation of artificial intelligence, robotics or digital twins in your company.

Bavarian Bonus for Small Enterprises:
Digitalbonus.Bayern

To help small enterprises develop their digital strategies, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy has launched the Digitalbonus.Bayern funding program, which is part of the Bayern Digital initiative. The objective is to encourage small businesses in Bavaria to improve the digitalization of their products, processes, and services. This is crucial to increase their chance of success and to strengthen the economy. Fraunhofer IKS supports these companies in the application and implementation of their digitalization project as part of the Digitalbonus Plus funding.

What is the goal of the funding program?

The goal of the Digitalbonus.Bayern is to further promote the adoption of digitalization technologies by small enterprises. As part of the Digitalbonus Standard, you can, for example, optimize business processes with ERP systems, make license purchases or introduce platform solutions.

Additionally, the funding program offers the Digitalbonus Plus. The focus here is on innovative projects with a focus on artificial intelligence, robotics or digital twins. To help with the development and integration of these ideas, companies are allowed to seek the help of external providers. This is where Fraunhofer IKS comes into play. Phase 1: Up to application (free of charge for you)

Phase 2: After a successful application

  1. Now you can assign Fraunhofer IKS.
  2. It's time to get to work: Together with you, we develop solutions tailored to your company and implement them.
  3. We support you in preparing the proof of use required for funding.
  4. After the proof of use has been checked, you will receive the grant from Digitalbonus.Bayern.

Am I eligible for funding?

Applications can be submitted by small enterprises that have a permanent establishment in Bavaria. A small company is one with fewer than 50 employees and an annual turnover of no more than 10 million euros. How much funding is available?

In total, 30 million € of funding are available each year, starting on July 1st, 2024, and ending on December 31st, 2027. During this period, funding will be awarded on a monthly basis. For each successful application in the Digitalbonus Plus program, a funding of up to 50% of the overall project expenditure can be secured. You will receive a maximum grant of up to 30,000 euros (Digitalbonus Plus).  Additionally, robotics hardware can be funded separately as part of the program.

How to apply?

The application can be completed fully digitally. Having an innovative aspect is a funding prerequisite for a Digitalbonus Plus application, so a detailed description must be provided. This includes the project content, its degree of novelty, and how it differs from existing solutions.
