LASER World of PHOTONICS, the world's leading trade fair for photonics components, systems and applications, has been setting standards in terms of size, diversity and relevance since 1973. It displays a unique portfolio that offers a combination of research, technology and application. LASER World presents a central forum for all players in the photonics industry from June 27 - 30, 2023.

A highlight this year is the World of QUANTUM, which in 2022 offered the international quantum community its own platform for the very first time. The premiere was met with such a good response that the International Trade Fair for Quantum Technologies will be continued in 2023. In the special World of Quantum hall, Fraunhofer IKS will present its projects in the field of quantum computing. 

Quantum computing-based algorithms are highly promising in terms of solving industrial optimization problems more efficiently in collaboration with classical computing. QuaST - Quantum-enabling Services and Tools for Industrial Applications - takes a holistic approach to developing software and tools that provide low-threshold access to quantum-based solutions.
