Why did you sign up for the Science Campus? What interested you about the work at Fraunhofer ESK (now Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems IKS) in advance?
I signed up for the Science Campus because it gave me the opportunity to get a taste of one of the Fraunhofer institutes. Furthermore, I was very interested in the seminars »Voice Leadership« and »Agile Project Management«. Fraunhofer ESK (now Fraunhofer IKS) was interesting for me in that they work with the topic of artificial intelligence, which I had hardly come into contact with before.
What did you like best about the science campus?
I really enjoyed the entire two days. By getting to know other women from similar fields of study, the presentation of the research fields at the ESK (now Fraunhofer-Institut für Kognitive Systeme IKS) with its challenges and the two seminars, I was able to benefit a lot from the science campus. The whole thing was then rounded off with a fun »Escape-Room« game and a joint dinner.
Would you recommend the Science Campus to female friends? Would you recommend Fraunhofer ESK (now Fraunhofer IKS) as an employer to female friends?
I can definitely recommend the Science Campus. Here you can make your first contacts and learn about possible career paths at Fraunhofer. Furthermore, the event offers the opportunity to acquire professional and personal knowledge beyond one's own field of study. I would recommend Fraunhofer ESK (now Fraunhofer IKS) as an employer. The fact that mutual respect, openness and the further education of young scientists play a major role already became clear during the two days.
Could you imagine working at Fraunhofer?
After my master's degree, I would like to do a doctorate. Since I can do this at a Fraunhofer institute, Fraunhofer is an attractive employer for me. Here I can apply my theoretical knowledge in practice.
In addition, I am impressed by the opportunities to work as a student assistant during my studies or while writing my thesis.
