From October 19 to 20, 2022, the English-language VDI conference »Future of AI in Automotive« will take place in Aschheim near Munich.

The event is dedicated to new ideas, innovations, challenges and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the automotive sector.

In addition to case studies and best practices, the conference offers a platform for open discussions on the road to fully autonomous driving, ensuring the safety of AI and building trust in the relationship between humans and AI.

On the first day of the event, Karsten Roscher, Head of Department Dependable Perception & Imaging at Fraunhofer IKS, will deliver a keynote »Mind the Gap: Building Trust in AI-based Perception« covering the following topics:

  • An effective model for safety assurance of ML-based functions
  • A peek into the black box: Understanding insufficiencies
  • Doubt your senses: Uncertainties and AI monitoring
